Correct.  We are an online-based business, setup specifically to cater with orders made online.  Contact information is provided to customers in case of an emergency where their computer may be non-functional, but normally we recommend the use of internet mediums, sacrificing phone and fax for a Web site, IRC, and e-mail.

However, we do now have a shopfront as noted above, which you can visit if you're in Sydney.

Delivery prices are calculated automatically via our Web site. For an estimate, simply add the items you would like to a shopping cart, view the cart, and enter your postcode in the delivery cost estimation section below the cart.  This will provide you with the prices associated for our different payment and delivery methods.

Unfortunately we cannot do anything in the way of price matching.  SecretNet was setup as an online business with very low margins, which leaves us with no room to workaround pricing.  As we are an online business, the Web site is our only official price list, and is not maintained elsewhere here.  When people ask me for prices, I simply look up the Web site myself, as there is no other source for prices.  The Web site prices are usually updated multiple times per day when we receive price updates from our suppliers, and are simply put, our best price for the products we can provide.

At the moment, we do not have any plans to ship internationally. If we change our minds, please keep in mind that we will be unable to accept international credit cards in any case.

At the moment, we can't do express freight on parts this way, simply because we don't carry stock of most items, and it does more than a couple of days to receive stock in most cases.  We recommend shopping elsewhere if you need the items same or next day.  Once despatched, the delivery time will vary depending on location and method of transport.  SecretNet is set up to run as efficiently as possible, so whilst sometimes orders may arrive within or in a day, it isn't something we specialise in as our field of business.

If you are in Sydney, you can pick up an order on the same day from our store.  We do recommend pre-ordering, however you can just drop by and pick up a part.  Please keep in mind that most goods are not normally kept in stock.  Please read this document for more.

Unfortunately, in most cases the answer is no.  Once orders are placed on the Web site, they are then ordered in turn from suppliers at that price.  In some cases, where the product has not yet arrived in stock, we may be able to work something out, but in most cases, there's not a lot we can do I'm afraid.

SecretNet offers a return to base warranty on all hardware for a minimum period of 1 year (provided no other statement has been issued on the site/receipt/promotion).  To return a product, you must fill out an RA form and submit that online first.  We will contact you shortly after to discuss any other issues the fault may be (ie. software, incompatible hardware, etc), then give you return details for despatching the item to us via Post.  Returns usually take 1-2 weeks, but sometimes it can be a little longer.  You can now trace the progress of your return through our RA tracking system.

Usually between 24 and 48 hours.  Unfortunately due to the way we've designed the tracking system, we must wait until payment is cleared before despatching items.  This is also a safe policy for us to work to.

Yes, provided the items you are after are already on our site.  If you wish for us to build a system for you, please prepare a quote through the SecretNet Computer Builder by clicking on that link. This will put together a price for a system which includes our costs to build the machine.

The site automatically generates prices based on the current best prices available for a variety of distributors for particular products, and is our most accurate listing of pricing available. Please visit the site to receive prices first, rather than e-mailing/contacting me otherwise requesting prices. I do not have a newer/better pricelist than the Web site itself. We reserve the right to cancel an order (and refund where appropriate) if we fail to obtain the product at the price quoted from a supplier.

We don't have the finances to offer credit accounts, and will not be doing so in the foreseeable future.

We don't wish to sponsor any more hardware review sites at the moment.  I fully support the work of Overclockers Australia and TechWatch and believe there's already too much saturation in that market, which these two both being the leading sites anyway.

We do not have an interest in sponsoring any other sites/events/clans at this time.
